Spring 2022

Spring Term 2022

Our topic for the Spring term is:

How many colours in a rainbow?

This term the children will be engaging in the topic ‘How many colours in a rainbow?’

They will be having opportunities to learn outside, splashing in muddy puddles, making footprints and following tracks on bikes and trikes through muddy puddles.

We will have lots of run experimenting with colour mixing, creating splash art, making bubble prints and experimenting with marbling.

The children will also carry out a range of cookery and science activities linked to the topic including experimenting with floating and sinking, looking at pond life in the garden and carrying out gardening projects.  We will be cooking on a weekly basis including making Easter cookery items including Easter cakes and Easter nests.

This terms books/stories include:

  • Maisy goes swimming
  • Hooray for Fish
  • Rainbow Fish
  • Peppa Pig – Muddy Puddles

This term sounds like a whole lot of fun!!

As usual we will be carrying out a lot of outdoor activities so please ensure that your child is provided with suitable clothing.

We look forward to your continued cooperation.

**REMEMBER we have an open door policy so feel free to telephone/email or contact via dojo if you have any questions, queries or concerns.
