Spring 2019

Spring Term 2019

Our topic for the Spring term is:

Why do ladybirds have spots?

The children will be looking at 'Why do ladybirds have spots? Why do spiders spin webs?' They will be exploring the outside grounds and the different mini beasts we find.  They will be offered opportunities to observe seasonal changes and animals and mini beasts that may appear during these seasons. We will explore pattern and colour, plants and flowers.

The children will be encouraged to explore the outdoor environment both on and off campus, carrying out investigations and exploring a range of places and spaces.

We hope to have lots of fun!!

This terms books/stories include:

What the ladybird heard.

Incy Wincy Spider

There's a worm at the bottom of my garden.

Ladybird Ladybird

If any parent feels that they could offer anything to this topic (in terms of coming in and engaging in activity with the children) we would be very grateful.

REMEMBER we have an open door policy in the O.A.U. and are always willing to lend an ear to our parents.

Many thanks

Mrs. Lucas, Miss Watkins & Miss Labbett
