IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION
Our Year 1/2 team includes:
Mrs Moore - Class Teacher.
Mrs Phillips - Class Teaching Assistant.
Mrs Sibery - Class Teaching Assistant.
Mrs Couch - Class Teaching Assistant.
Mrs Arnold - PPA Cover Every Friday Afternoon.
Fruit Money –
If your child would like fruit in school this can be paid via Squid. £1.25 for the week.
Uniform – All children are encouraged to wear school uniform and all items of school uniform need to be clearly labelled. Children do get warm during the day and will take their jumpers off. We have a jumper basket in class where the children can place their jumpers safely as in year 1/2 children are encouraged to be responsible for their own belongings. If jumpers are NOT labelled it can be very confusing for the children to identify theirs.
P.E. – The children will have 2 sessions of P.E. a week, an indoor session and outdoor session (weather permitting). Our P.E. sessions are on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon so your child will NEED to wear a P.E. kit to school on these days.
P.E Kit– Shorts/Joggers or Leggings, T-shirt, trainers for outdoor session. Children will do P.E. barefoot in the hall.
All children have a peg in class and P.E. kits can be kept on their peg until the end of each term.
Homework –
Your child will be bringing home a homework book every Friday. Homework will need to be completed and returned to school by the following Tuesday in order to be marked. It is important that the children engage in the homework set as the activities will be linked to what we are doing in class.
Reading Books
Reading books will be sent home daily with the children. These will need to be brought to school every day for the teaching staff to read with the children and change their books regularly.
Spelling Lists
Spelling lists will be given out every Friday. Your child will need to learn their spellings for the spelling quiz the following week.
Water Bottles
Please could you send your child to school with a water bottle. These can be brought to school daily.
We hope you have a lovely term.
