What is St Dwynwen's Day?

 

St Dwynwen's Day (or Dydd Santes Dwynwen in Welsh) is the Welsh Valentine's Day. This annual event celebrates the Welsh saint of lovers, Dwynwen.

 

When is St Dwynwen's Day?

St Dwynwen's Day, or Dydd Santes Dwynwen, takes place every year on the 25th of January.

 

How to be people celebrate?

People celebrate the event by exchanging gifts, going on romantic trips and spending time with their loved ones.

 

Who was St Dwynwen?

St Dwynwen was a Welsh princess who lived in the Brecon Beacons during the fifth century.
