Beast Creator
The children will learn about minibeast, deadly creatures, habitats and food chains to name but a few areas in our science theme, Beast Creator. This theme and related learning will develop the children’s knowledge about 'minibeasts' and larger beasts in our environment and the World beyond. They will explore detailed sketches like Charles Darwin drew, look at different habitats and how animals survive as part of an eco-system. They will design and make their own junk modelling beast.
We will still be working hard on developing the children's independence and this will continue to be a target for us. They will need to become more responsible for their learning and general participation in school life so that they are ready for their transition to comprehensive school or to year 6 for the year 5 pupils. They need to be able to make positive decisions that will help them be the best they can be.
