'To be the best you can be' - Article 29

Autumn Term 2023

Our topic for the Autumn term is:

'When I Fall Asleep'

 

 

 

Our Autumn term topic is 'When I Fall Asleep' exploring light and dark, the moon and stars, nocturnal animals and familiar routines at the end of the day.

The activities that we will be covering during this term are as follows:

  • Routines that they take part in at bedtime
  • The moon/stars and how the sky changes at night
  • Sources of light and dark
  • Nocturnal animals
  • Time (day/night)
  • Simple lullabies and nursery rhymes
  • Expressing their own feelings
  • Mark making/drawing
  • Welsh language words surrounding bedtime
  •  

The books that we will be covering throughout the term are:

  • Bringing Down the Moon
  • Catch a star
  • Laura's star
  • Owl babies
