Summer Term 2022

Our topic for the Summer term is:

Sunshine and Sunflowers

This term we will be taking part in the Cornerstone’s theme ‘Sunshine and Sunflowers’.

This is a wonderful seasonal project that will allow us to have lots of opportunities for outdoor learning and will teach the children to care for plants and learn how to stay safe in the sun.

We are also hoping to go for walks in the local environment and engage in water and sand play in the garden.

We will take part in Cookery, Art and Science activities all related to our theme.

This terms books/stories include:

• The Very Hungry Caterpillar
• Oliver’s vegetables
• The Bad Tempered Ladybird

 The children will also be encouraged to learn a range of new songs:

• Dingle Dangle Scarecrow
• Hungry Caterpillar
• Sunflower song
• Worm at the bottom of the garden
• Bring me sunshine

This term sounds like a whole lot of fun!!

As usual we will be carrying out a lot of outdoor activities so please ensure that your child is provided with suitable clothing.
